Slave Lake

We went to slave lake to help with fire clean up.  it was very odd and sad to see so many homes and stores redused to ash and melt plastic and metal.  to see so many trees charred stumps; even the burnt cars trucks lawn mowers and bikes were so sad to see.  All in all though it was a very good weekend because it showed that people can work togeather for a cause and be happy dopign it dispite the sadness of the area.

 large Moth
rotting core (This is not my picture haley took it on my camera)(good job kiddo)
 Lilacs
now this is not an award winning photograph but the story has to be worth something...and by the way how many of you would have the guts to chase a skunk...down the railroad tracks...holding a SLR camera...yes i am insane however i did get my picture, fuzzy though it is, thats not the point lol

Moon Shots

These are not my newest pictures but I had forgotten to post them, they are kind of spooky and cool I thought.  I was using different adjustments on my camera to experiment with the lighting in such a low light situation. Tripod was necessary for these due to it being super hard to keep the camera still especially in some setting options.

Where the Birds are...thats where i will be

These two were the best pictures I got of some random birds taking a walk along the banks of a small swamp on the edge of a country road.  (that is the birds were walking or flying and I was in the truck taking pictures of them. And making mutterings about not having brought my zoom lens.) There was another red wing black bird and anther goose and many babies which i sadly could not get teh camera to focus on because they were of course moving just enough to mess up the shot lol silly birds, thought they dident want to be posted on a blog about forests and ink and inking forests, their lose. ;)
